Prerequisites
Before connecting, make sure you have:- A Shopify store on any paid plan.
- At least one blog set up inside your Shopify admin (Online Store → Blog Posts → Manage Blogs).
Connect Shopify
Enter your store domain
Type your Shopify store domain into the field provided (e.g.
yourstore.myshopify.com).Authorize the Connection
Click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Shopify’s permission screen. Review and approve the requested permissions — write_content and read_content — to allow SurgeRank to publish blog posts on your behalf.
Publishing an article
From the Content Engine editor, click Publish → Shopify when your article is ready. You’ll be prompted to:- Select the target blog — if your Shopify store has multiple blogs, choose the one this article belongs to.
- Set the publish status — send it as a Draft for a final review in Shopify, or publish it immediately.
What SurgeRank sends
When you publish to Shopify, SurgeRank passes the following fields:| Field | Details |

Disconnecting
To remove the integration, go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify → Disconnect. This revokes SurgeRank’s access to your store but does not delete any posts that have already been published.After publishing, SurgeRank automatically monitors the new Shopify blog URL for AI citations. You’ll see the page appear in your Citations dashboard within a few minutes of the post going live.
